Preparing for a Wawk Walk.
Before the walk commences our falconer, Craig has to ensure the readiness of
each bird before leaving the Centre. The birds are weighed in preparation
for each walk to ensure they are on their flying weight, an overweight bird
will not perform, and jessie's are changed from mews jessies to flying
jessies.

Gettting to know your bird.
When a suitable bird is selected for each client a brief familiarisation
session is vital for both the birds and their prospective handlers. Once
our clients are comfortable handling their birds and the birds' equipment is
double checked the walk commences.
The walk takes you through beautiful
woodland surrounding the Centre and, dependent on the unpredicatble scottish
weather, suitable outdoor clothing is recommended.
