This package is for those who have a keen interest in the art of falconry and feel they would like to pursue their interest further. The day on this package is split into two. In the morning based at Auchingarrich Bird of Prey Centre you will get an introduction to the birds, basic handling, knots, husbandry, furniture, purchase and current legislation.
In the afternoon you will fly the birds and if booked between September and March may experience directly the bird actively hunting. However all year round there is a diverse range of activities provided by the local countryside to test the skills you have learned.
The cost of this course is £60 UK pounds sterling.
You may reserve a place on the introduction to falconry courses using the online form or by post and telephone direct to the centre. This activity is popular and the places limited to ensure the well being of the birds. If traveling from outside the Perthshire area it is advised to reserve a place once you have decided on the dates you will be visiting our area to avoid disappointment on arrival.
