Harris Hawk.

Harris Hawk. "parabuteo unicintus".

Also known as the chicken hawk in the USA. The Harris Hawk is found from the Southwestern USA, to Central Chile and Central Argentina.

We use these birds at Highland Falconry and always get an enjoyable day with them. They are very intelligent birds and will take numerous quarry, from squirrel, rabbit, pheasant, duck, and some will also take the odd hare. They usually have between 2 and 4 eggs and will hatch at about 30 day's. The young will leave the nest at 6 weeks old.
