Introduction to Falconry Day.
The introduction day is divided into morning and afternoon sessions. During the morning there are several introductory tutorials on the birds, basic handling and knots. All within the grounds of Auchingarrich Bird of Prey Center. After a break for lunch the day moves on to working and flying the birds using the techniques learned that morning. Specific flight activities are dependent on seasonal variations since the birds themselves need to participate in different activities depending on the season. However the varying woodlands and moors available within rural Perthshire ensures a wide range of interesting flight activity and scenery.
