This package is for the complete novice. Maybe after a hawk walk with us or watching the birds flown in demonstrations has sparked a desire to take up falconry for sport or leisure.
Whatever your previous experience this package will teach you the skills required to train and care for your own bird. In addition it will teach the skills required to select a suitable bird for your ability and requirements along with sufficient knowledge on how to assess the health of the bird prior to purchase.
This five day course will cover the following topics:
- Which hawk is best suited to you?
- The accommodation for the bird.
- The purchase of suitable furniture.
- Basic handling, manning and training.
- Food and feeding the hawk.
- Flying and hunting your hawk.
- Husbandry.
The cost of this course is £270 UK pounds sterling.
